Christopher Ashton Kutcher, better known as Ashton Kutcher, is an American actor, producer, former fashion model and comedian, was born on February 7, 1978 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and of Irish descent. His father, Larry Kutcher, a worker at a General Mills factory, and Diane (née Finnegan), a Procter & Gamble worker. Ashton has an older sister, Tausha, and a fraternal twin, Michael.
In 1998, Ashton participated as a modeling contestant in an IMTA competition and signed with the Next modeling agency in New York, appearing in ads for Calvin Klein, modeled in Paris and Milan, and appeared in a Pizza Hut commercial.
Following his modeling success, Ashton decided to relocate to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. After his first audition, Ashton was cast as Michael Kelso in the Fox sitcom That '70s Show. He played lead roles in the films Dude, Where's My Car? (2000), Just Married (2003), The Butterfly Effect (2004), The Guardian (2006), and What Happens in Vegas (2008). He also starred in the films: Spread, Personal Effects, Valentine's Day, Killers, among others.
In 2003, Kutcher produced and starred in his own series on MTV's Punk'd as the host. He is also the producer and co-creator of the supernatural TV show Room 401 and the reality TV show Beauty and the Geek. Also, he currently advertises for Nikon cameras. He has invested in an Italian restaurant, Dolce and a Japanese-themed restaurant named Geisha House located in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
On September 17, 2008, Kutcher was named the assistant coach for the freshman football team at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, but he was unable to return in 2009 because of filming. Ashton Kutcher won a Twitter battle with CNN becoming the first person on Twitter to have over one million followers. As a result, Kutcher donated $100,000 to the Malaria No More fund.
Ashton is a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears, and Chelsea F.C. Some of his hobbies are snowboarding, video games, watching movies, clubbing, working out, and hanging out with friends.
In 2003, Kutcher began dating Demi Moore and married on September 24, 2005 in a private ceremony conducted by a Rabbi of the Kabbalah Center.
