Britney Spears, an American singer and entertainer, was born on December 2, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi. Britney is the daughter of Lynne Bridges, a former elementary school teacher, and Jamie Spears, a former building contractor and chef. Her siblings are Bryan and Jamie Lynn.
Spears is one of the most successful female vocalists of the 21st century. Britney is listed in the Guinness World Records for her debut album as having the "Best-selling album by a teenage solo artist." Spears has sold over 83 million records worldwide.
