Justin Drew Bieber is a Canadian pop-R&B singer and actor, who born on March 1, 1994 in London, Ontario, but was raised in Stratford, Ontario. Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, and his father, Jeremy Bieber, are divorced, but Justin Bieber remains in contact with both parents. He has a half sister named Jazmyn and a half brother named Jaxon.
As a child, Bieber enjoyed hockey, soccer, and chess. Later, he taught himself to play the drums, guitar, piano, and trumpet. His mother, Mallette, posted a video on YouTube of Bieber singing Ne-Yo's "So Sick" at a local competition in Stratford as well as other videos of him singing covers of various R&B songs. In 2008, Bieber was discovered by Scooter Braun, who became his manager after seeing Bieber on YouTube. Bieber was soon signed to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Usher, and then to a recording contract with Island Records offered by L.A. Reid.
In 2009, Bieber's debut single, "One Time" was released and charted in the top 30 in over ten countries. On November 17, 2009, his debut release, My World, was certified platinum in the United States. On March 23, 2010, his released his first full studio release, My World 2.0. Some of Bieber's singles are One Less Lonely Girl, Love Me, Favorite Girl, Never Let You Go, and U Smile. In January 2010, Bieber released "Baby," which charted at number five in the U.S. and reached the top ten in seven other countries.
Bieber has starred in several films such as True Jackson, VP (2009), Silent Library (2010), School Gyrls (2010), Saturday Night Live (2010), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2010), Hubworld (2010), The X Factor (UK) (2010), and Never Say Never (2011). Bieber has been nominated and won numerous awards. Bieber is the first artist to have seven songs from a debut album chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Bieber performed in several live shows such as The Today Show, Lopez Tonight, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, BET's 106 & Park with Rihanna, among others. Bieber performed Stevie Wonder's "Someday at Christmas" for U.S. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama at the White House. He was a vocalist for the remake of We Are The World for its 25th anniversary to benefit Haiti after the earthquake.
Justin Bieber enjoys basketball, skateboarding, among other sports. His favorite food is Spaghetti Bolognese, and he loves Captain Crunch Cereal. He likes wearing sneakers, hoodies, and flat-billed caps.
